I know I am a few days late, but my weekend was very busy. I celebrate my son’s birthday, Kendal, who passed away 1 year earlier than Guru. His Birthday is 18Apri2009. So every year I mourn quite a bit in April. Also one of my homeboy’s, Stinkweed passed away in April two years ago. And my Grandmother also passed away two years ago in April. So basically APRIL SUCKS.
Anyways, this post is a tribute to half of my all time favorite Hip-Hop duo, Gang Starr. I remember wearing my original Gang Starr hoodie and finding out Guru passed. Very tragic. So glad he left music for us to cherish forever.
Rest in Peace G.U.R.U. You will never be forgotten.
